spotted this Luna moth last night. I feel lucky to have seen it since I found this on wikipedia about them:
In Canada and northern regions, they can live up to 7 days. Lunas will produce
only one generation per year. These reach adulthood from early June to
early July.
seems as if mine was a bit out of season.
